Radiohead - In Rainbows...in ten days! - 09.30.2007
Well, damn! Radiohead have a new album coming out alright...in 10 Days!!!!
as posted on their website:
Hello everyone.
Well, the new album is finished, and it's coming out in 10 days;
We've called it In Rainbows.
Love from us all.
Jonny
Greenwood, I could kiss you. Radiohead, a band that clearly wishes to play by their own rules, which means not playing by Starbucks' if anyone actually believed that long dead rules, is releasing album seven In Rainbows on Oct. 10 in two formats: discbox and digital download.
Here's where it gets interesting. The discbox, which will be two LPs, contains artwork, hardback book and slipcase, additional music, downloads and lots of good stuff. This will cost £40.00 from their website, which is a bit pricey, about $80 in US dollars. But the album is also available as a digital download, which will cost whatever price the consumer chooses to pay for it. So $80 or .25, your choice. Though there is no word on the album being released on CD or being distributed through a label in the future, those with computers or a spare 80 ducats can get their hands on this thing in a little more than a week.
Holy crap.
