On September 16, Cymbals Eat Guitars release their new album, Pretty Years, via Sinderlyn. The band has previewed some of the album so far, including the Bruce Springsteen-evoking “4th of July, Philadelphia (SANDY)” and the Roxy Music-style groove of “Wish.” Before the album is released, however, the band is streaming the album in its entirety via NPR First Listen. The record finds the band progressing even further into stronger songwriting. In Patrick Pilch’s review of the album from last week, he had high praise for the group’s latest effort: “They’ve truly pulled it off, successfully creating one of the few credible rock records of the 21st century.”

Cymbals Eat Guitars’ Pretty Years follows 2014’s LOSE.
