Protomartyr announces record-release show on a boat

On September 29, Protomartyr will release their new album, Relatives In Descent, via Domino. They’ve also announced a special record-release show, which is a bit different than the usual live ceremony. On September 22, one week before the album’s released, the band is having a special live event aboard the Detroit Princess riverboat in their home city of Detroit. The show includes both cruise and live performances by Protomartyr, Metz, Tyvek and ADULT. (all Detroit bands, except for Metz) with more to be announced.

The boat boards at 6 p.m. and the cruise begins at 7:15 p.m. The live sets begin after the boat returns at 8:30. The event is all ages, and tickets are now on sale. Take a look at the rest of the band’s tour dates below.
