Devo tease farewell tour

Devo have announced the first date of what will be a “farewell tour.” The legendary post-punk group from Ohio will be performing at this year’s Desert Daze festival, which takes place October 11-13 in Lake Perris, California, and right under their name on the poster is the phrase “Farewell Tour.” The band’s social media posts from earlier today make it clear that the Desert Daze performance is their only show in October 2019—so far.

However, the band have also teased more upcoming activity, announcing via social media, “ATTN SPUDS: We’re going to have news you’ll want to be the first to know about VERY SOON.” That, presumably, means their full set of tour dates. And if this Farewell Tour is anything like Slayer’s, it could last for a good, long while.
