Hear a new song from The Jesus Lizard, “I’m Tired of Being Your Mother”

The Jesus Lizard are releasing a new EP on Record Store Day (April 12) via Ipecac, titled Flux. The group have previously shared a couple of tracks from the three-song release, and today they’ve offered the last preview of the upcoming EP, titled “I’m Tired of Being Your Mother.” Hear it below. The group are also touring this spring. Check out those dates below.

“When a friend of mine was about eight years old, living outside of New Orleans, his mother once said to him, in a slow, dull drawl, ‘Im tired uh bein’ yo mutha’,” David Yow said in a statement. “That really struck me. The lyrics are actual quotes of awful things mothers have said to their children. Heartbreaking!!”

The Jesus Lizard’s latest album is 2024’s Rack.
