Listen: New Thermals song, “Born to Kill”

This morning, the Thermals released the first single, “Born to Kill,” off their upcoming album, Desperate Ground, out April 13 via Saddle Creek. The track clocks in at under 2 minutes and begins with the lines “I was born to kill / I was made to slay,” which is a pretty good indication that this Portland trio is looking to regain its fiery reputation. These totally hard lyrics, which are presented in the video below/above, are a bit ham-fisted at times and the churning guitars are a bit too consistent throughout, but hey, if you’re interested in some inspired reminiscing about how great The Body, The Blood, The Machine is, look no further.
