Planning For Burial have announced their first new album in eight years. On May 30, the post-metal/doomgaze project of Thom Wasluck will release It’s Closeness, It’s Easy, via The Flenser. It’s Planning for Burial’s first new album since 2017’s Below the House. The first new song from the album is “A Flowing Field of Green.” Hear it below and check out Planning For Burial’s upcoming tour dates.

Wasluck said about the new song in a statement, “When I first wrote it I was thinking about how often on tour or when visiting other cities I’d want to move there, away from everything I know. But I’ve been to a lot of places and lived in a few too and realized everywhere will suck if you let it. You gotta be the change you wanna see, you gotta make the things you want to happen become a reality no matter where you’re at.”

Planning For Burial’s Below the House is featured on our list of the 50 Best Post-Rock Albums.
