Sleater-Kinney share new track, “The Center Won’t Hold”

Sleater-Kinney have just released another new track from their upcoming album, The Center Won’t Hold. Following the release of “Hurry On Home” (which we dubbed an Essential Track) and “The Future is Here,” the band have released the album’s title track, which you can hear below.

“‘The Center Won’t Hold’ drops you into the world of catastrophe that touches on the election,” says guitarist/vocalist Corin Tucker in a statement. “And almost like a mission statement, at the end of that song, it’s like the band is finding its way out of that space by becoming a rock band.”

The Center Won’t Hold is out August 16 via Mom + Pop, and follows 2015’s No Cities to Love. This is the band’s final album with drummer Janet Weiss.
