The Mae Shi reform as HLLLYH, announce new album URUBURU


L.A. noise rock group The Mae Shi have returned as HLLLYH. The group went on hiatus after the release of their 2008 album HLLLYH, but in 2022 founding member Tim Byron wanted to get the group back together for one more album. So they’ve reformed as HLLLYH for new album URUBURU, featuring members Jeff Byron, Ezra Buchla, Brad Breeck, and Corey Fogel, as well as new members Dan Chao, James Baker, and Burt Hashiguchi. URUBURU is out June 27 via Team Shi. Today they’ve shared “Dead Clade,” which you can hear below, along with its b-side, a cover of The The’s “This Is the Day”.
