Industrial, darkwave and post-punk label Blackest Ever Black is closing up shop. Resident Advisor confirmed that the London-based label is closing up shop after a decade. Their last release was the compilation A short illness from which he never recovered, which includes music by Carla dal Forno, Scythe, Brainman and Hypnotic Sleep, and has just been given a vinyl release. The description for the compilation on its bandcamp page reads: “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”

Over the past 10 years, the label’s released music from Raime, Dalhous, Prurient, Lustmord, Tropic of Cancer, Cut Hands, Raspberry Bulbs, and more. Listen to Prurient’s “Through the Window” below.

Prurient’s “Through the Window” is featured on our Greatest Hits playlist of Dominick Fernow’s music.
